What you'll achieve at Web Summit
- You’ll assist in the planning of security, people flow, health & safety for our global events
- You’ll support the production team by coordinating timelines, meetings and communications in all elements of event security, people flow, health & safety, planning and rollout.
- You’ll contribute to creating the best security, people flow, health & safety experience by implementing world-class systems and processes.
- You’ll liaise with key suppliers, contractors, and internal teams, supporting engagement, briefings and acting as a point of contact.
- You’ll work with multiple teams to develop existing processes and create new efficient ones while monitoring and updating internal data systems to ensure the accuracy of data.
- You’ll learn directly from your teammates.
- On-site, you’ll work as part of the wider team delivering excellence throughout the event.
- You’ll contribute to the development and recording of all security, people flow, health & safety processes at events and create detailed review documents to support future events.
Who you are
- You have exceptional organisational and administrative skills, and great attention to detail
- An interest in analytics, data and metrics is a big plus.
- You know details matter and your attention to detail is exceptional.
- You’re a calm person who stays level-headed under pressure.
- You’re a problem-solver with the ability to think on your feet, react rapidly to situations, prioritise your workload and implement measures to improve procedures and workflows.
- You have a love for both startups/tech and events and a willingness to work as part of a team
- You’re a confident and friendly person who cares deeply about the experience of attendees
Skills and abilities we're looking for
- 3 years minimum experience working in operations planning and coordination role in security or events industries
- BA or Master's degree desirable
- H&S certification(s) would be a plus
- English and Portuguese fluency required.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively
- Strong administrative skills and an ability to meet deadlinesExperience managing multiple projects at one time and prioritising workload.
- Vendor and venue research experience locally and internationally.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and accomplish tasks as part of a team
- Proficiency in G-Suite is essential
